Prostate Cancer is not a Joke!

With the advances in technology, treatment for some deadly diseases especially cancers are nowadays viable even though some of the causes for these infections are often avoidable as well as unavoidable. Prostate Cancer ranks among cancer with such traits.

This cancer develops as a result of uncontrolled cell division within the prostate gland (a small tissue placed in front of the rectum, below a bladder that is responsible for making some of the semen) and this tissue is only found in men.

In 2020, statistics, the World Health Organization (WHO) revealed that at least 396 men died of prostate cancer in Rwanda with an age-adjusted rate of 25.46% per 100,000 of the population, ranking Rwanda as 43rd globally.

The experts believe diet, race, and aging appear to be the root cause of this sort of disease. Even though it would time a bit longer to recognize its presence in a body due to its slow-growing character, many people tend to confuse prostate cancer with other ordinary diseases.

Speaking of diet, the research made it clear that a poor diet like fatty food tends to increase the chance to suffer from this cancer as well as excessive consumption of alcohol and smoking as well, as gets the body closer to the risk of falling sick of this cancer.

What’s more, though it may sound a bit hard to digest racially, black and Hispanic people, are at a higher risk to contract this lethal disease than whites plus its genetical hierarchy, which translates that having a person in a family who tested positive, sparks a chance to have this infection in a next generation. Unfortunately, there’s no way this can be avoided.

Aging is also a second unavoidable cause of prostate cancer because this type is basically renowned on affect people who run into old age when the chance for a disorder in cellular multiplication is vastly higher.

In this case, it is advisable to reduce fatty and saturated meals, drink less alcohol, engage oneself in physical exercises, and also quitting smoking because that is when the body will be kept away from this cancer. In addition, a medical check-ups should be regularized so as to combat and even tackle this cancer at its early stage of development.
