The Bridge Magazine is an online media publication established in 2018, mainly to provide a voice to the voiceless, especially women.
Our Editorial Line
The Bridge Magazine strives to empower communities and women through media engagement and participation. Other areas of special focus include: agriculture, health, environment, justice, education and socio-economic development.
Our Objective
As a media platform we advocate for the less privileged and encourage women’s economic participation, leadership and entrepreneurship in order to promote gender equity, social justice and development.
Our Strategic Focus
We profile success stories and highlight activities and role models that are rarely in the limelight, thereby encouraging the voiceless to communicate freely and express their opinion with self-confidence. This equally brings to the fore issues that may need the attention of policymakers.
Our Social Media Presence and Visibility
The Bridge Magazine publishes regularly in three languages – Kinyarwanda, English and French – in order to widen possibilities and timely access for our audience. The information is published on several platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and on our website that have a combined followership of between 9,000 and 12,000, and shared in form of written articles, audios and videos.
Our Media Resource
Our team of ten includes 8 reporters and 2 administrative staff, majority of whom (80%) are women.
The Bridge Magazine also offers opportunities for upcoming media reporters to improve skills through internship and apprenticeship and to post stories on the different platforms.
