On September 26, the online award ceremony of the Third Shenmo International Teaching Evaluation Competition was successfully held. This event was jointly organized by the Abacus Research Institute and the International Business Unit of Shenmo Headquarters. More than 50 Shenmo principals and teachers from Singapore, Myanmar, Iran, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Nigeria, Rwanda, Tanzania, Namibia, Libya, Zimbabwe, Sierra Leone, Guinea, and Mali actively participated in the competition, showcasing the talent of Shenmo international teachers. Li Dehua, Director of the Abacus Research Institute and Ding Lei, General Manager of the International Business Unit, attended the online award ceremony as guests of honor.
During the ceremony, Director Li Dehua and General Manager Ding Lei delivered speeches, congratulating the successful organization of the competition, all the winning teachers, and Shenmo International Schools. They also expressed their hopes and best wishes for Shenmo’s international development and the enhancement of teaching quality. Principal Brigitte from Shenmo Rwanda School spoke on behalf of the international principals, and the teacher Thae Thae Mar from Shenmo Myanmar School represented the participating teachers. Subsequently, the awards were announced one by one.
The Competition, launched in August this year, lasted for two months and consisted of two stages: the preliminary round for franchise schools and the national final round. The competition attracted more than 50 principals and teachers from over 10 countries around the world. Ultimately, more than 10 teachers stood out through multiple rounds of selection and won honors. During the competition, the Abacus Research Institute and the International Business Unit jointly held an online feedback and exchange session. This session included watching teaching videos from the competition and provided each international teacher with guidance on future teaching development and growth goals. It also facilitated the exchange of teaching experiences and techniques, helping Shenmo international teachers broaden their teaching knowledge and improve their pedagogical thinking skills.
This Competition comprehensively showcased the talent and dedication of Shenmo international teachers and further promoted cultural and friendly exchanges on a global scale. Coinciding with the 30th International Teachers’ Day, the competition and award ceremony provided an opportunity for Shenmo teachers worldwide to celebrate their important holiday while engaging in professional development and growth.
As a learning platform for international teachers to share experiences, support each other’s growth, and exchange cultures, the Shenmo International Teaching Evaluation Competition has, over the past three years, continually enhanced the teaching capabilities of Shenmo international teachers. It has stimulated innovative thinking and enthusiasm for teaching, and has promoted deeper exchanges and connections between Shenmo Headquarters and all international schools. This empowerment from Shenmo Headquarters aids in the development of international schools and supports the growth and progress of Shenmo’s international principals and teachers. In the future, the Competition will be organized annually in an orderly manner. An increasing number of Shenmo international teachers will participate in the competition, which will help them to continuously improve their teaching levels and abilities. This ongoing effort will contribute to the high-quality development of Shenmo’s internationalized schooling.
In recent years, with the rapid development of Shenmo’s internationalization, various activities such as Shenmo international principals’ conferences, the “Shenmo Cup” international abacus mental arithmetic competition and exhibitions, global teacher training, and cultural exchange activities have become increasingly rich and diverse. The special training system for both new and experienced teachers and principals has been gradually perfected, and Shenmo’s multi-language international teachers’ training team has been established in an orderly manner. Looking forward, Shenmo will continue to make in-depth efforts in the field of overseas school operations, comprehensively promoting the growth of Shenmo’s international principals and teachers. This will aid in the steady development of Shenmo International Schools and contribute to the advancement of Shenmo’s global education initiatives as well as the dissemination of the abacus culture overseas.
