Africa’s Business Heroes (ABH) Prize Competition is a benevolent initiative generously sponsored by the Jack Ma Foundation and Alibaba Philanthropy. The primary goal is to provide support and inspiration to the upcoming generation of African entrepreneurs across diverse sectors. The ultimate aim is to foster a more sustainable and inclusive economy that paves the way for the continent’s future.
Munyabugingo’s achievement marks a significant milestone, making him the fifth Rwandan entrepreneur to secure Alibaba funding since 2019. This remarkable prize, established by Jack Ma, the visionary behind Alibaba Group and the Jack Ma Foundation, was conceived after his inaugural trip to Africa in 2017. The journey left him captivated by the vitality and entrepreneurial promise exhibited by the young individuals he encountered.
