Mr. Nkubana Expresses Gratitude to SGF for Compensation After Uninsured Accident

Mr. Nkubana Eugene, a resident of Gasabo District, has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Special Guarantee Fund (SGF) after receiving compensation for injuries he sustained in an uninsured accident that occurred on June 15, 2003, in Musezero Cell, Gisozi Sector, Gasabo district.

Following the accident, the motorcycle driver responsible fled the scene, abandoning both the motorcycle and Mr. Nkubana. Fortunately, concerned bystanders quickly called an ambulance, which took him to Kibagabaga Hospital. He spent one night there before being transferred to Ejo Heza Hospital. After a week of hospitalization, he was discharged and continued his treatment at home.

Reflecting on the difficult period, Mr. Nkubana admitted he had little hope of receiving any compensation, as the driver had disappeared and could not be traced. However, he learned about the Special Guarantee Fund through a police officer who assisted him with the police report and encouraged him to explore the compensation process.

With support and guidance, Mr. Nkubana initiated the claims process at SGF. He reports receiving excellent service throughout, leading up to July 25, 2025, the day he officially signed for his compensation, which will be deposited into his bank account.

Mr. Nkubana expressed his deep appreciation to the SGF team and its management, praising their professionalism and the quality of service he received throughout the entire process.
